• Week in Review Dec 20

    I took Monday off, so I caught up on some podcasts and painting. I also booked a January (brrr) flight to Edmonton where I’ll see my daughter compete in the Junior Nationals Olympic lifting. I’m hoping for good weather which means nothing worse than -15C. The rest of the week was a lot of going through my lists and crossing things off in anticipation of a nice break.   • Week 46 In Review

    Well if things weren’t busy enough, they notched up to a whole new level of crazy this week. When it rains it… Highlights this week included two days of BCcampus events, with the always excellent ETUG on Thursday and a SOTL event on Friday.  ETUG opted for an unconference style, and I have to say I loved this, especially the pitches, which is a great way to get people engaged and excited right off the mark.  I think all conferences should have pitches.   • Week 44 In Review

    Came down with a nasty cold that took away half of my week, so I’m light on activities to share, and a bit late on this one. OER research study:  With the #opened14 conference only a few weeks away, we are scrambling to finalize the data analysis on our JIBC OER study.  This study has been already useful for making some internal decisions, so mission accomplished to some degree.
